We live in a world that is filled with suffering.  You cannot go through life without experiencing suffering in some way or another.  People respond in all sorts of various ways when they encounter suffering.  For some it is a faith destroying experience and for others it is a faith building experience. In this message we explore the topic of suffering from God’s perspective and wrestle with several important points to understand as we deal with it in our own lives.  Move from being a victim of suffering to a champion over it.

The Scripture reading for this Sunday is Luke 13:1-9.

Purity and Integrity in Times of Trial (Revelation 6-7)

The Four Horsemen of Revalation are on iconic image.  But there are four horses you don’t want to meet.  The represent the terrible suffering that is inflicted upon this world.  We see wars and rumors of wars.  There are natural disasters and diseases.  All these things hit close to home at one time or another.  We might ask God why he allows these things to persist?  How long is it going to be until he brings an end to the evil and suffering in this world.  

The answer is not an answer we might expect.  The answer is given in Revelation 6-7.  We learn that the end may not come soon and that the struggle will continue.  Yet, we still see the grace and the mercy of God in the midst of the storm through the cross of Jesus.
