The Governing Board is seeking people who want to help implement our strategic goals. If you’re interested in being part of the implementation team for any of these goals, please indicate your interest by signing up for the goal of your choice on the Connection Card this Sunday or online.
TRUSTEE
The Executive Committee is looking to recruit a handful of people to serve as Trustees at Lord of Life. The Trustees’ purpose is to serve as Congregational stewards of all real estate and personal property of Lord of Life Church. Responsibilities include overseeing and planning for general maintenance, make recommendations for long-range capital improvements and protect the congregation against loss or damage of various kinds. PROVIDE RELIEF AFTER A NATURAL DISASTER
Lord of Life’s Early Response Team (LERT) serves areas that have been affected by a natural disaster. Join the team to help in the following ways: cut down broken trees, distribute water and food items, deliver gifts to children, serve meals, pray with those affected and more. Interested in serving with LERT? Training and certification are regularly available. The team meet monthly to pray, make plans, assess needs and prepare supplies. TUESDAY PRAYER GATHERINGS
Lord of Life gathers for prayer every Tuesday from 5-6pm. All are invited. Stay as long or as little as you’d like. There is special opportunity to be prayed for or to be anointed for healing.
PRAYER AFTER SUNDAY SERVICES
Every Sunday after services the elders and prayer warriors are available to pray with you in the Family Life Center. Meet them in the corner of the room to request special prayer.
COMFORT DOG MINISTRY
Bring the love of Christ to the community by becoming a prayer partner or handler for Chloe our comfort dog. Handlers bring Chloe to schools, memory care facilities, special events, hospitals, our Sunday services and more. Contact Sue Kessler at skessler717@earthlink.net. QUILT GROUP
A group of ladies who invites you to quilt, pray and connect in community. All ladies of any age are welcome. Quilts are made for mission partners around the world. They meet on Thursdays from 9-11am in the Solid Rock Lodge. BUILDING AND GROUNDS
We take great pride in our lawn, and you can be part of a team that has a hand in making our campus beautiful. We need someone to volunteer to run our 72″ deck SCAG aka “The Beast” our 54″ deck Cub Cadet aka “Trimmer” and our push mower (with no nick name). GARDEN HELP
Did you know we have over 20 plant beds on our property that could use some TLC for weeds and other vegetation? All the beds are at a very good place right now, but if left unchecked we could be living in a jungle by the end of the season. If you could provide 30 minutes per week or even once a month, we could effectively stay ahead of the weeds and vegetation. The Lord of Life Care Team is charged with providing care for the physical needs of our congregation.
