January 2022 Update
As promised, 100% of the campaign donations have been applied to our mortgage principal thereby reducing our principal significantly over the 2-year campaign. We have freed up general fund income to hire a children’s ministry director! The search committee will meet for the first time on Sunday, January 9 to begin the search process. Candidate interviews will be conducted in January and February 2022. Please pray that the Lord will show us the person to hire for this new position. Thank you to everyone who participated in this campaign! God is good!
October 2019 Update
Further, Together, For Christ! is God’s 2-year vision for Lord of Life Church. This vision was conceived with prayer, study of God’s Word, discussion among staff and elected leaders and your feedback. Four goals to fulfill our mission to connect people with Jesus and each other.
- Create an irresistible guest experience
- Create an irresistible youth experience
- Spiritually grow the Body of Christ at Lord of Life
- Attack our debt by reducing our debt by at least $500,000 over two years
The Further, Together, For Christ! Capital Campaign is a two-year campaign to reduce our debt by at least $500,000 so that we free up monthly income to hire a children’s ministry director, make guest improvements and spiritually grow through prayer and sacrificial giving. The campaign was launched on Sunday, September 29, 2019 during the 8:30 & 10am services and it concluded on Sunday, October 31, 2021. Three campaign mailings were mailed to our church family. See the links below if you would like to review any of the mailings.
For three Sundays—Oct 6, 13 & 20, 2019—Pastor Matt preached about how God works through his Church so that we run further, together, for Christ! Each week Pastor Matt simultaneously preached and painted on a large canvas. After the 10am service on October 20, the painting was completed for God’s glory.
