The relief effort at Lord of Life is now kicking into second gear. Many individuals and organizations from the community are stepping up to serve. We have community volunteers serving every day. The Chase Bank corporate office, Kaneland School District, and Geneva High School SAD are a few of the newest additions to the effort.
Make sure to help us get the word out. We have less than a week left. The collection will end on Sunday at noon. So time is getting short. Don’t wait. Keep checking our website for the most up-to-date info. Another great way to receive updates is to become a fan of Lord of Life on Facebook. You can find our facebook page at www.facebook.com/lolchurch
You should also know that on January 22, 2010, legislation was passed that allows certain 2010 contributions for Haiti earthquake relief to be deducted on your 2009 tax return instead of your 2010 return. This means you can receive an immediate tax benefit, rather than having to wait until you file next year’s return. Certain requirements apply. Visit the IRS website for more info.
