25 Years and Beyond Q&A Forum—This Sunday
There will be a special Q&A forum on Sun, Nov 30 at 11:15am-Noon in the large conference room upstairs. This is for anyone who has further questions about the 25 Years and Beyond Campaign. Commitment Sunday is Next Sunday Dec, 7
What a joy it will be to dedicate our pledges to the Lord next Sun, Dec 7 during both worship times! Please bring to worship your pledge form in the envelope provided. If you need an extra pledge card, they are available in the church office, usher stand in the Family Life Center and the Connect Cart.

Give Blood—This Sunday
Our Blood Drive is scheduled for this Sun, Nov 30 in the Solid Rock Lodge. It’s a life-giving ministry opportunity to help other families in need. Giving your blood can truly help save lives right here in the local area. We do this in the name of Jesus, who gave His life for us. Walk-ins welcome!

Christmas Cottage Visits at Illinois Youth Center – Call for Volunteers
On Sat, Dec 13 from 12:00-3:30pm, an 80 member team will enter IYC and meet with the boys in their cottages.  We will sing Christmas Carols, visit with the boys, and deliver a Christmas gift of one dozen cookies to each boy.  This is a wonderful opportunity to bring the light of Christ to a dismal place and announce the love of Christ to these young men. If you feel called to join this team…volunteers need to be at least 18 years old. Need to know by Mon, Dec. 1. Cookies, Cookies, Cookies
Will you bake cookies for a visit to IYC?  We need 600 dozen cookies…our goal is to give each boy and each IYC staff person a dozen cookies.  Cookies need to be delivered to Lord of Life Church by Thu Dec 11. Prepare Your Heart for Christmas on Tue, Dec 2
Ladies of all ages are invited to come together on Tue, Dec 2 from 6:30-9pm to prepare your heart for Christmas. Enjoy music, a craft, refreshments, cookies, and of course a wonderful message from Amy Blackford! $6/person – pay at the door. Sign up on the Connection Card or in the lobby. Breakfast with Baby Jesus
Join us on Sat, Dec 6 from 10-11:30am in the Solid Rock Lodge to prepare for Jesus’ birth with a warm breakfast, a live nativity, craft, music, and a story. This is an event for families and children. O come let us adore Him! Sign up on the Connection Card or online at www.lolchurch.net/bwbj.

Join us for Chili, Cocoa, and Caroling on Thu, Dec 11 at 6 p.m.
We are going to spread Christmas cheer to our homebound Lord of Life members, but first we will start with a chili cook-off dinner (child friendly options available). You don’t have to bring chili to participate. After dinner, we will be leave to visit our home bound friends and sing Christmas carols.  Please sign up on the Connection Card. Giving Tree
Next week the Giving Tree will be up and ready for you to take its ornaments. We will help the community around Anderson School and HELPS ministry. HELPS Ministry is our mission of the month for December, so this is one way our church can reach out and help our neighbors in need. Please stop by and check out the Giving Tree. The voter’s meeting will take place immediately following the 10am worship time on Sun, Dec 14. Approval of the 2015 financial budget as well as updates from the Elders, Executive Board and Pastor Matt will be discussed. Please make plans to join us.

Save the Date—Christmas Worship Times
Be sure to join us for Christmas Eve worship on Wed, Dec 24 at 5 or 7pm. Worship on Christmas Day, Thu, Dec 25 will be at 10am. Communion will be celebrated on Christmas Day. Invite your friends and neighbors to come celebrate the birth of Christ the Lord!

Pick Up Kitchenware Soon
