Haiti Mission Trip Dec 28-Jan 5
Still thinking of going to Haiti on this year’s mission trip? You will need to fill out a mission trip application form! Everyone will need a valid passport and immunizations. This year’s trip will be Dec 28 through January 5. We will be working at Mama Yols was orphanage just outside of Port-au-Prince. Fall Fest for Families

Lazarus House Thanksgiving Feast
Lazarus House warmly invites you to join its staff, guests, and many supporters at our annual Thanksgiving Feast to be held Thur, Nov 24 at the Salvation Army St. Charles Tri-City Corps, 1710 S. 7th Ave, in St. Charles. The event will run from 11:30 am to 2pm with dining beginning at noon. The feast has become an established tradition in the community. Not only are Lazarus House guests blessed by the outpouring of generosity and compassion exhibited by those who attend, the feast has also become the family meal for many who live by themselves or do not have family close by. For those able to cook, a dish to pass is most appreciated. Food should arrive ready to serve between 11:30 and 11:45am, in a disposable container. Needed dishes and supplies are posted on the website: www.lazarushouseonline.com. There is no cost to attend, but we would greatly appreciate a courtesy call or email letting us know if you are able to contribute a dish and/or plan on attending. Internship Opportunity

Thanksgiving Eve Worship
Save the date for our annual Thanksgiving Eve service on Wed, Nov 23 at 7pm. There will be a special testimony from one of our members who has experienced God’s faithfulness this year. This is a full service with communion. Cider and dessert will follow. Nursery care will be provided. Come give thanks to the Lord!

Basic Training for Confirmation
Get trained on the basics of faith and life. There are four sessions: 1) Discovering the Bible, 2) Encountering Jesus, 3) Living on Purpose, and 4) Searching for Truth. Basic Training sessions are offered once/month on Saturdays from 9am-12pm. The next session will be “Living on Purpose” on Sat, Nov 19 in the youth room. No sign up necessary. Just show up!

Operation Christmas Child
Please visit the Operation Christmas Child display in the Solid Rock Lodge. You will find everything you need there to start your adventure of making a special Christmas gift for a boy or girl somewhere in the world. Since 1993, God has worked through people like you to send more than 135 million shoeboxes to children in 158 countries. Lord of Life Church will host a shoebox packing party for the first time on Sat, Oct 29, from 1-3pm. Please feel free to bring a friend. We will have shoeboxes, wrapping paper, and some gift donations to get you started packing your shoebox. Therefore, we’ll need lots of donations – wrapping paper, tape, safety scissors, small toys, school supplies, hard candy and gum, and hygienic supplies. We’ll also need cases of bottled water, and snacks. The donation box is located next to the Operation Christmas Child lobby display. Please review the donation list at the OCC display table. Support Our October Mission of the Month
Mission Possible in downtown Aurora is dedicated to holistically meeting the human needs of the underserved people of Aurora Christ’s name. They provide for both physical and spiritual needs, offering Bible studies, prayer, addictions recovery, mentoring, counseling and Christian fellowship along with free medical, orthopedic, vision, chiropractic care and physical therapy. During this month of October we are collecting personal care items and common over the counter medications and vitamins for Mission Possible from the Dollar Store. For more info please visit the mission table in the lobby.
