Weekly Connect for Sun, Mar 5, 2017

Special Governing Board Presentation
During worship on this Sun, Mar 5, the Governing Board will present a vision for 2017 to our congregation. The Governing Board used the congregational survey from 2016 and prayerfully collaborated about where God is leading us in 2017 to ignite hearts on fire for Christ. Come find out specifically where God is leading us! If you’re excited by this vision, look for specific opportunities to partner with this effort as the Governing Board rolls out specific action points in the weeks to come. There is also a handout available explaining the three goals at the back of the Family Life Center.

Men, Join us for “Overcoming Adversity through God” March 11
The Biblical story of Joseph provides tremendous insights into how the Lord wants us to handle life’s difficulties.  It also demonstrates how God’s faithfulness—even in the most challenging circumstances—makes it possible for us not just to survive but to thrive when trials come our way. Join us for Saturday Morning Men on Mar 11 from 7:30-9 am as we focus on “Overcoming Adversity Through God.”  In addition to this powerful message, there will be small group breakout discussions, and time for fellowship with the guys over coffee and donuts. For more info, contact Brian Griffin at brianmgriffin1@gmail.com.

Support our March Mission of the Month
C24/7 Father’s Arms Ministries, a new mission partner, was founded by James and Natalie Crockett. They are dedicated, through the power of Jesus Christ, to improve the lives of children and young adults in the North side of Howard neighborhood of Chicago by providing them with the necessary tools, security and environment for them to thrive economically, socially and spiritually. You can help by providing items they can use for their after school program and women’s Bible study. Please see the lobby display table for more details or contact Curt or Jan Berg at curtberg407@att.net or call (630) 715-2674. All loose change this month will support C24/7 Father’s Arms Ministries.
