Weekly Connect for Sun, Jan 28, 2018

Prepare for Worship
This Sun, Jan 28, we’ll carefully look at the temptation of Christ in Luke 4:1-13. While Jesus is vulnerable in the desert, he encounters three temptations from Satan. Why was he tempted and what did he do to remain faithful to God? We’ll learn about this event in Jesus’ life and apply it to our lives today. See you Sunday at 8:30 or 10am!

Reaching Out to Bless Our College Students
Every year in February our Care Board sends out gift cards to our college students. In order to do that we need your help. As you well know, college kids change their living arrangements more than once during their time away from home. Would you be so kind as to provide your college-age child’s address while at school? Use your Connection Card to let us know and we’ll take care of the rest. For more info please contact Jan Berg (630) 818-7532 or email curtberg407@att.net.

Provide Items for Lazarus House
Every 4th Friday Lord of Life Church serves at Lazarus House. This month we could use some help from the Lord of Life Church family. We could use someone to call Lazarus House to ask about Salad & Milk. We could also use some additional hamburger buns to go with the Ream’s Pulled Pork dinner sandwiches that night (Jan 26). If you can help, please let us know via the Connection Card. For more info, please contact Curt Berg (630) 715-2674 or cberg@lolchurch.net.
