Let’s Get Out! Monthly Community Outreach!
Let’s get out into the community and show the love and care of Christ!  These events are open to all ages and they’re great for families with children and youth. Here are the following dates and locations for our outreach:
  • Mon, Feb 26, 6:15-7:45pm – Marklund Hyde Center, Geneva. Marklund is a residence for infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities. We’ll share the gospel with residents at Marklund by singing, visiting, doing a craft project, reading scripture and more. Sign up on the Connection Card.
  • Wed, Mar 14, 5:45-7am – LaFox Metra Train Station. We’ll hand out invitations to Easter services and chocolates to commuters, conductors and engineers at the station.
  • Thu, Apr 19, 6:30-8pm – Corbella Clinic, South Elgin. We’ll assemble care packages for new parents, clean around the building, organize and sort the gift shop, assemble baby bottles for Mother’s Day campaigns and more. Corbella Clinic is a Christ-centered crisis pregnancy center and is an official mission partner of Lord of Life Church.
  • Thu, May 17, 6-8pm – Lazarus House, St. Charles. Lazarus House is a Christ-centered shelter for the homeless in our community. We’ll serve, clean, paint, visit and do whatever is needed to help this local shelter meet the needs of our community.
Reaching out to Bless our College Students
Every year in February our Care Board sends out gift cards to our college students. In order to do that we need your help. As you well know, college kids change their living arrangements more than once during their time away from home. Would you be so kind as to provide your college-age child’s address while at school? Use your Connection Card to let us know and we’ll take care of the rest. For more info please contact Jan Berg (630) 818-7532 or email curtberg407@att.net.
