Founder’s Week at Moody Bible Institute

Support the Meagan Seals Benefit
The local community is putting on a benefit dinner to help the Seals family with unpaid medical bills. It’s happening Sat, Feb 21 at Elburn’s American Legion Post beginning at 5pm. Tickets are $25 each. Includes a meal, 1 drink, and entry into the cash raffle. Tickets are available at Paisano’s Pizza & Grill, Co. located at 106 N. Main St., and The Elburn Herald located at 525 N. Main St. Both in Elburn IL. You may also contact Pamela McLane (630) 879-0989 who has 40 tickets to sell. This is a kid friendly event. All individuals attending need a ticket. There will be face painting and a craft station set up to help keep the young ones entertained. Help Serve on the Connection Board
The Connection Board has reviewed and updated the purpose of the Board.  The scope of our charge Includes: Ensuring Sunday morning servers are trained and scheduled, supporting new member orientation, ensuring the worship center and Solid Rock Lodge are appropriately decorated for the seasons, communicating events through advertising and lobby displays, assisting with assimilation of events, and other assistance as requested. The next Connection Board meeting is scheduled for Thu, Jan 22 at 6:30 pm in the corner office on the upper level.

Get Ready For An All-Church Book Study with Pastor Matt
Pastor Matt will lead a book discussion that will help all of us share our faith more confidently and naturally. The book is “God Space: Where Spiritual Conversations Happen Naturally” by Doug Pollock. The dates of the book discussion are Wed, Jan 28 from 6:30-8:30pm and Thu, Jan 29 from 9:30-11:30am. Only sign up for one since both will be the same content just different times to accommodate people’s schedules. If you still need a book, purchase an eBook or order it online. Iron Sharpens Iron Conference for Men
“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” – Proverbs 27:17. This conference on Sat, Mar 14 is for men of all ages, emerging men (age 13) to seasoned men. It will be at Central Christian Church in Beloit, WI. We’ll meet at Lord of Life at 6am to carpool and return by 7pm. The cost is $50 when paid by Sun, Mar 1. Students (age 13-22) are only $35. Elburn Food Pantry Dinner
Thu, Jan. 29 at 5pm will be our time to serve and provide food for the Elburn Food Pantry Dinner. There are many ways to serve. The program reaches kids where they’re at and walks alongside them in their faith journey. Each week, more than 1.5 million kids participate in Awana in over 12,000 churches in the U.S. and nearly 13,000 internationally through programs that change young lives through biblical truth.
