Bibles for Kids Sun, Feb 26
On Sun, Feb 26 we will launch an opportunity for parents and grandparents to receive a brand new Bible to give to their children who do not have their very own Bible. We want to encourage and support parents as the primary teachers of God’s Word to their children. These Bibles will be provided by the church at no cost to the families. There will be different Bibles available for various ages (including adults who need a Bible) at the Connect Cart in the lobby. Questions? Join Us For a Night of Worship s Fri, Feb 24
Praise God during this night of worship on Fri, Feb 24 at 7pm. This event is for all ages. The Lord of Life band will play worship music, lead prayer and a member of our church will give a personal testimony. Invite your friends and neighbors! Ladies Pallet Painting Fri, Mar 3
Have you noticed all the cool wood pallet signs that are all the rage? Have you ever wanted to DIY your own? Well now you can. Join us Fri, Mar 3 from 6:30 to 9pm for an evening of painting, dessert, and fellowship. Cost is $30-$45. Two designs to choose from and a maximum of 30 ladies can register. Registration must be complete by Sun, Feb 19 to allow time for our artist to plan accordingly. Sign up on the Connection Card or at the sign up sheet in the lobby.

Iron Sharpens Iron Conference for Men
“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17)
This conference on Sat, Mar 4 is for men of all ages, emerging men (age 13) to seasoned men. It will be at Central Christian Church in Beloit, WI. We’ll meet at Lord of Life at 6am to carpool and return by 7pm. Cost is $55 when paid by Sun, Feb 19. Students (age 13-22) are only $40. Sign up in the lobby or at www.lolchurch.net/men Questions? Ash Wednesday Worship Service | Wed, Mar 1
Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent. Lent is a 40-day season to prepare our hearts for Jesus’ suffering, death and resurrection. Join us on Wed, Mar 1 at 7pm for this penitent worship service. Nursery care is available for children ages 0-3.

Dare to Share – Unshakeable Tour
Using the story of young David facing an immense giant, the Unshakeable Tour will inspire teenagers (grades 8-12) to stand with an unshakeable faith in Jesus Christ and equip them to answer Christ’s call to make disciples who make disciples. Basic Training for Confirmation
Get trained on the basics of faith and life. There are four sessions: 1) Discovering the Bible, 2) Encountering Jesus, 3) Living on Purpose, and 4) Searching for Truth. Basic Training sessions are offered once/month on Saturdays from 9am-12pm. The next session will be “Encountering Jesus” on Sat, Feb 18 in the youth room. No sign up necessary. Just show up!

Bowling for Babies
Bowling for Babies, the annual TLC Pregnancy Services fundraiser is being held on Sat, Feb 18 at Streamwood Bowl in Streamwood from 12Noon-3pm. Bowlers who raise $50 minimum in pledges get free bowling and pizza. Register to join the LOL bowling team with Rick and Robin Mathieu at tlcpregnancyservices.com. Questions? Support our February Mission of the Month
Awana, based in Streamwood, Illinois, is a global ministry committed to making the gospel and long-term discipleship available to every child, everywhere. Awana reaches kids through fun, scripture rich experiences, helping churches and parents work together through the Gospel to raise children and youth to know, love and serve God.  Lord of Life’s Awana program meets Wednesdays from 6:15 – 8pm. Kids and friends are always welcome to join! All loose change this month will go to support Awana’s ministries.

New! Prayer Gathering on Tuesday Evenings Starts March 7
Please join us on Tuesday evenings for a time of seeking the Lord and pray for others. The first Tuesday Evening Prayer Gathering will be on Mar 7. Doors will open at 6pm for those who want to pray alone or with a prayer partner. The prayer gathering begins at 7pm. We will spend time worshiping the Lord, praying over the prayer requests of our congregation, praying for Lord of Life ministries, and storming the gates of Heaven for the Church of Jesus Christ. Your prayers, whether spoken aloud or shared with just the Lord, are all welcome! Everyone is welcome including those who would like someone to pray with them for their needs. All ages are welcome. No prayer experience is needed.
