Help Support Our December Mission of the Month
International Foundation for Orphans is a new mission founded by Lord of Life members Kim and Scott Cole and Andrew and Amy Anderson. It is dedicated to being the hands and feet of Jesus, sharing God’s love with orphans and widows while providing spiritual, emotional, physical, medical and educational care to further His Kingdom. Founded after returning from visiting several orphanages in Haiti, IFFO strives to raise awareness of the plight of the nearly 153 million orphans worldwide. Learn more at www.iffocares.org.

You don’t have to bring chili to participate. After dinner, we will be leave to visit our home bound friends and sing Christmas carols. Please sign up on the Connection Card. Any questions can be directed to Curt Berg cberg@lolchurch.net.

Visit the Giving Tree and Help Someone In Need
Is it better to give or to receive? Well, maybe it’s a bit of both. We’ve been partnering with H.E.L.P.S. Ministries in Valley View to provide Christmas gifts to the families living in their ministry area. Please choose an ornament from the Giving Tree and pick up a shopping list that goes with that ornament. All items should be purchased and brought to Lord of Life by Wed, Dec 14. Only a few ornaments remain, so come quickly to claim your gift idea. For more info, please contact Mary Owen at (630) 377-8731 or email le710@comcast.net

New Sermon Series: The Advent Conspiracy
Can Christmas still change the world? The Christmas story is a story of love, hope, redemption and relationship. So, what happened? How did it turn into stuff, stress and debt? Somehow, we’ve traded the best story in the world for the story of what’s on sale. This advent, God will challenge us to worship fully, spend less, give more and love all. Join us for this 4-week series that prepares us for Jesus’ birth at Christmas.
