Welcome the New Governing Board
The congregation voted in June to elect and approve a new governing board for a 1-year “trial” period (June 2016 to June 2017). The first governing board meeting was in July and the board will meet monthly thereafter. The purpose of the governing board is primarily to discern God’s plans for Lord of Life Church to achieve its stated mission of connecting people with Jesus and each other. This also means they are responsible for establishing a vision (a preferred future) and goals for the church. The governing board is comprised of three at-large members, the Executive Director, the Assistant Executive Director and the seven Elders. The twelve members are George Acosta, Jim Anderson, Jennie Linke, Paula Price, Kim Cole, Vince Chiaramonte, Matt Gain, Dwayne Nelson, Gary Meyer, Rick Mathieu and Carlos Baez. Pastor Matt serves as an ex-officio member of the board. Please keep the governing board in your prayers as they start this new journey together for the sake of the Lord and His Church. The Executive Board, responsible for administrative leadership, and the Elders, spiritual leadership, continue their respective roles.
