Voter’s Meeting on Sun, Jun 14
All members are invited to attend the summer Voter’s Meeting on Sun, Jun 14, in the Family Life Center immediately after the 10am worship service. The agenda will be available for you to pick up at the back of the Family Life Center on Sun, June 7. Pastor Matt will give an update on ministry and we’ll vote to elect new leaders in the church. Learn to Help the Community When Disaster Strikes
Showing God’s love after a natural disaster situation is an excellent way to live out your faith. You’re invited to a special training to learn how to help the community after a disaster situation and become CERT certified. CERT stands for Community Early Response Team and the training will be held over two Saturdays, May 30 and Jun 6, both from 8am-4pm at the Elburn Fire Station in downtown Elburn (210 E North Street). Give Blood, Give Life
Sign up this Sunday for our quarterly Blood Drive coming Sun, June 7. Help save a life. We have a special incentive this time. When we surpass our goal by 25% Lord of Life Church will receive a $100 gas card. If you come to give blood you’ll each receive a $5 Subway gift card. Our goal is 37 donors. Interested in Serving God with Chloe Comfort Dog?
Do you love to interact with people? Do you have a servant’s heart, hands and a listening ear? Do you feel compassion for those who are struggling with life issues and need God’s love? Chloe Comfort Dog is a bridge that opens doors for us to serve Jesus. If interested you can learn more on Sun, Jun 7, on becoming involved in the comfort dog ministry as one of Chloe’s  handlers. Need Comfort? If you are experiencing a stressful life situation, Chloe Comfort Dog can comfort you during an illness, death of a loved one, job loss, shut in visit, or challenging family circumstances. Visits are subject to handler availability. There is never a charge for a comfort dog visit. Please check the Connection Card to request a visit and someone will contact you. Register Online for Pastor Matt’s All-Church Bible Class
Pastor Matt will be teaching an 11-week Bible study this summer called God Connects: How to Have a Relationship With God. This class is for people who already have a relationship with God and want to go deeper. If you don’t have a relationship with God, this class is for you too. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8pm beginning June 3-August 19. Pastor Matt will teach, lead group discussion, make time for Q&A and give practical applications to apply directly to your life. The Start Here new membership class that was cancelled earlier this month has been rescheduled for Sun, Jun 7, from 11:30am-1:30pm. Hire a Youth Servant Crew
Could you use some help with a project at home? Hire a Youth Servant Crew this spring and help send them to Lead THE Cause (www.leadthecause.org) this summer where they will be equipped, encouraged, and energized to make disciples! Youth and Family Skate Night at Funway
All youth (grades 6-12) and families are invited to meet at Funway in Batavia (www.funway.com) for a Christian music skate night on Thu, Jun 4 from 6:30-8:30pm. Sign Up for Family Movie Night and Vacation Bible School
Join us for a Family Movie Night on Fri, Jun 12, at 6pm and get a sneak peak of our “Journey Off the Map” VBS! We’re showing “The Lost Adventure: Journey Off the Map.” The movie is FREE! Concessions will be available for purchase. Come early at 5:30pm for a pizza dinner prior to showtime. Cost of the dinner is $10/family, which includes pizza, salad, and beverage. Also, join us this summer from Jul 20-24 for our “Journey Off the Map” VBS for children preschool (age 3) through 5th grade! There will even be a class for parents Mon-Wed! Each evening a family dinner will start at 5:15pm, followed by the program from 6-8pm. Cost is $25/family. Friday night pizza is an additional $5/family.
