We’re Getting Close to Our Goal for a New Parking Lot!
Are you able to fulfill your 25 Years and Beyond pledge early? We are getting closer and closer to our goal of $300,000 to then begin work on the parking lot this fall. The campaign team will give an update during worship this Sun, July 12.

Men, Get in God’s Word on Friday Mornings!

Help Serve at the Elburn Food Pantry Dinner on Thu, July 30
It’s time again for Lord of Life Church to provide a meal for our community on Thu, Jul 30 from 5-7pm. The main entree will be Pulled Pork sandwiches from Ream’s Meat Market. Please register online or use your Connection Card to provide food items or offer your services. It’s a great way to connect people with Jesus and to serve together. Pick-Up Food for Elburn Food Pantry on Tue, July 28
Every fourth Tuesday of the month we pick up donated food from the Jewel Food Store in Elburn and deliver to the Elburn Food Pantry. We could use a few more helping hands. Serve the Homeless in Our Community
There is a need for more overnight volunteers to be “on call” at the Lazarus House in St. Charles. Last month 50% of the volunteers couldn’t make it. If you could help by being placed on the “on call” list that would help immensely. Requirements are to report in by 9pm and sleep the night. Wake up at 5:30am and leave by 7am. There is an overlap of staff so if the times need to be tweaked, that’s a possibility as well. Please use your Connection Card to let us know you’re interested. We’ll be in touch.

Serve at Beautiful U Ministries in Elburn on Mon, July 20
Please join us for an opportunity to serve at Beautiful U Resale Shop on Mon, Jul 20. We will meet at 6:15pm every third Monday of the month at the shop (112 N. Main St., Elburn) to help sort, organize, and price donations. Sign up on the Connection Card or online. Also, they are in need of Gentle Ease baby formula by Enfamil and/or A.R. Youth and Family Event at Otter Cove Aquatic Park
All youth (incoming grades 6-12) and their friends and families are invited to meet for some twilight fun at the Otter Cove Aquatic Park in St. Charles on Wed, July 15 from 6-8pm. Urgent Needs for VBS, Can You Help?
VBS preparations are off to a great start! There are a two urgent needs remaining: one more adult leader for a group of kids and gift cards to Costco for food. If you can help, contact Mary Miller at marymmiller@mediacombb.net.

Sign Up for Vacation Bible School
VBS is only two weeks away! Join us this summer from July 20-24 for our “Journey Off the Map” VBS for children preschool (age 3) through grade 5! Each evening a family dinner will start at 5:15pm, followed by the program from 6-8pm. There will even be a class for parents Mon-Wed! Cost for VBS is $25/family. Support Our July Mission of the Month 
This month highlights Lord of Life’s own Comfort Dog, Chloe. As a trained comfort dog, Chloe interacts with children and adults in our local public schools, IYC prison, Lazarus House, nursing homes, hospitals, events and in disaster response situations. A comfort dog is a friend who brings a calming influence, allowing people to open up their hearts and receive help for what is affecting them. Chloe’s ministry opens a door to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Chloe is part of the K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry of Lutheran Church Charities. For more info, please contact Sandi Kessler at sandi.kessler@sbcglobal.net

Can You Help Serve in the Nursery?
