New! 20-Something Ministry!
Several 20-somethings collaborated on Monday evening about starting a new 20-something ministry at Lord of Life. This is targeted for 18-29 year olds (post-high school). This group meets weekly on Monday nights at 7pm even during Christmas break and the holiday season. Invite your friends, kids and grandkids in this age range to come check it out and meet new people. New Study for Women: Sacred Parenting by Gary Thomas
A six-session study on how God can transform lessons in raising children into opportunities to grow in the image of Christ. You will look at parenting from a different perspective: as a method of spiritual formation expressly designed by God to shape your soul in ways you can not imagine. This study is for all women at any stage of parenting from diapers, to toddler tantrums, to teenage silence. The study begins January 12th at 7pm. The group will be meeting at Brenda Guetthoff’s home: 41W638 Far View Rd in Elburn. Please enter from the breeze way and not the front door. New Ladies Bible Study Coming in January
Join us in the new year for The 7 Experiment by Jen Hatmaker.  Disturbed by her families excess Jen writes about their unique social and spiritual decision to live by 7 rules and reducing material possessions and distractions in 7 areas (food, clothes, spending, media, possessions, waste and stress) in order to connect with a greatly increased God. This class is offered on Tuesday mornings at 9:30am in room 101 beginning Jan 12, Wednesday mornings at 9:15am beginning Jan 6th or you can join the  Tuesday evenings class that begins on Jan 12th at 7pm. The book and registration information is available to look at on the Connection Cart in the lobby or you may sign up on the Sunday morning Connection Card. Preschool 2016-2017 Pre-registration
Lord of Life Preschool is starting pre-registration for the 2016-2017 school year.  There are forms available outside the Preschool Office starting Sun, Jan 3.  Complete the form and return it to the Preschool Office as classes will be filled in according to date/time of form received. Forms will be accepted starting Thu, Jan 7. All forms received prior to that date will be dated the Thu, Jan 7 at 8am. Pre-registration will be closed on Fri, Jan 29. All forms received after this date will be added to the list. This will place your child on a list for the class(es) indicated. You will receive registration forms in February.

Serve at Beautiful U Ministries on Mon, Jan 18
Please join us for an opportunity to serve at Beautiful U Resale Shop on Mon, Jan 18. We will meet at 6:15pm every third Monday of the month at the shop (112 N. Main St., Elburn) to help sort, organize, and price donations. Beautiful U is one of our official mission partners. They help provide Christian resources and housing to young moms in the local area. Lord of Life Church Building Closed on Mon, Dec 28

Support Our December Mission of the Month
Lutheran Church Charities, located in Northbrook, was founded in 1947 and works throughout the United States and internationally responding to those suffering and in need with the mercy, compassion, presence and proclamation of Christ. LCC is the home of the K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry and the L.E.R.T. L.E.R.T. Training Coming to Lord of Life
For anyone interested in joining the Lord of Life  L.E.R.T. (Lutheran Early Response Team) and serving others after natural disasters occur. Online registration is now open for the Sat, Jan 30, 2016 (9:30am-1:30pm) L.E.R.T. Basic Training class which will be held at Lord of Life. This class is mandatory to participate in disaster response with L.E.R.T. Ministry. Registration fee of $35.00 includes training, vest, manual and ID credentials needed to enter disaster areas. Winter Play Dates Coming Soon
Join fellow moms at Lord of Life for indoor play dates this winter.  Moms can enjoy fellowship while their kids play together.  We will meet the second Monday of the month from 9:15 to 11am in the nursery.
