You’re Invited to an Evening with Chloe
Thrivent Financial is hosting an evening with Chloe, our comfort dog, to help promote awareness in the community about Chloe and how she interacts with people at churches, schools, nursing homes, hospitals, and more to touch people with mercy and compassion during difficult times. Everyone is invited to come and show support for Chloe. The event will be on Wed, Aug 19 at 6pm at the Thrivent Financial offices located at 25 N 3rd St, Geneva. There will be light refreshments.

Meet Our Mission Partner This Sunday
Our mission partner Jake Gillard from World Missionary Prayer League will be with us this Sunday, August 16, and would like to spend some time getting to know the people who make up Lord of Life Church. Please feel free to join Jake and his family on the lower level after the second service for a simple potluck. Feel free to bring a dish to pass.

Save the Date for the Ministry Kickoff Sunday, Aug 30!
Please save the date for a special ministry kickoff celebration on Sun, Aug 30 during worship at 8:30am & 10am. It is our primary vision casting event of the second half of the year. Get Away for a Weekend With Your Family
Interested in an opportunity to spend quality time as a family with freedom from everyday distractions? Lake Geneva Youth Camp offers a Labor Day weekend Family Camp experience combining family worship time, free time for recreation activities and great all-you-can-eat meals. The experience begins Fri, Sep 4 with evening registration and continues through mid-day Mon, Sep 7. High School Juniors, Seniors and Parents, Embrace the Unknown on a Mystery Retreat
Up for the Unknown is a mystery retreat for high school upperclassmen (juniors & seniors) that will take place from Sat, Sep 12 through Sun, Sep 13. The location and the activities will be unknown to the participants. All they need to know is that it is guaranteed to be a good time and connect with God! Parents of eligible youth will be contacted by Brian Zielke to discuss the classified information regarding the retreat’s top secret location and details. Support Our August Mission of the Month
Wycliffe Bible Translators is dedicated to translating and delivering Scripture to people around the globe in their own native language. We support Wycliffe missionaries John and Bonnie Nystrom who are serving eleven language groups in Papua New Guinea by training Papua New Guineans to translate the Bible into their own languages, coaching them through the translation process, and equipping them to pass on their skills to more translators from some of the 300 language groups in Papua New Guinea that still have no Scripture at all.
