All About Relationships!
The HighWay strategy includes program elements designed for students to build relationships with other students, with adults, and most importantly with Jesus Christ. It’s through these relationships that we achieve the purposes of the Way…to know the Way, grow in the Way, and show others the Way. Jesus is the Way!
PROGRAM ELEMENTS:
HANG OUT:
Connect with Jesus and each other.
Sundays, 6-8pm in the Youth Room (unless otherwise specified below)
*NO Hang Out on 5/13 (Mother’s Day)
*Special Hang Out on 5/20 to welcome incoming freshmen (current 8th graders) and celebrate the graduating seniors. Come hungry!
CONFIRMATION:
Path to a Personal Profession of Faith
Specific expectations include:
*Participation in Basic Training – complete all four sessions (see details below)
*At least 30 days of a personal devotion/Bible study (suggestions can be offered)
*At least 10 hours of ministry involvement or community service (suggestions can be offered)
*Participation in a trip, retreat, or conference (see opportunities below)
*Faith Expression (can be a written statement or creative project) – to be submitted by the student and discussed at the interview
*Interview with student, parent(s), Brian, and Pastor Phil

BASIC TRAINING:
Get trained on the basics of our beliefs.
9am-12pm one Saturday each month of the school year
Meets in the youth room.
Each session is offered twice per year (dates below).
Discovering the Bible – 9/15/12
Encountering Jesus – 10/13/12
Living on Purpose – 11/10/12
Searching for Truth – 12/8/12
TRIPS/RETREATS/CONFERENCES:
Get away to grow.
