Congregation works out in the community

Members of the Lord of Life Lutheran Church were out in the mission field in February at many of our mission partner sites:

40 bags of laundry were washed and returned for the homeless staying at HELPS ministry in St. Charles.

Members helped stock the shelves at Beautiful U ministries thrift shop in Elburn. The thrift shop helps fund the Beautiful U ministry of providing at risk pregnant teens and young women with local families to shelter and teach them God’s design for family life.

The Lord of Life bowling team bowled for babies in Streamwood for TLC Pregnancy Services. TLC Pregnancy Services helps pregnant women with free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds and counseling in a Christ centered loving environment.

2 of our LERT team members went to Hattiesburg to help clear debris and clear trees from 10 homes. Lutheran Early Response teams deploy to areas hit with natural disasters to aid those in need and share the love of Jesus. Members of our LERT team and youth helped an elderly neighbor in need to move.

Members served at Corbella Clinic (formerly Fox Valley Pregnancy Center) assembling baby bottles for their Baby Bottle Campaign. Corbella Clinic helps pregnant women with free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds and family life mentoring.
