Congregational Voter’s Meeting
There will be a Congregational Voter’s Meeting on Sun, Jun 8 in the Family Life Center immediately following the 10:30am worship service. The purpose of this meeting is to review and discuss the financial report and vote on the 2014-2015 church leadership.

Preschool Extended Care Summer Program
Our Extended Care program for current and fall 2014 students starts Fri, May 23 and runs until Fri, Aug 29. If you are looking for a Preschool for fall 2014, classes start Tues, Sept 2. Kane County Cougars Baseball Game
Join us for All-Faiths Night on Mon, Jun 9 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are only $5 each. We are also selling CARE tickets, Cougars tickets for people who can’t afford them. CARE tickets are distributed to families and individuals that visit the Elburn Food Pantry and HELPS. Please note that the Cougars now charge a $5 fee for parking, not included with your ticket price. Tickets will be available in the Lobby or Solid Rock Lodge Sun, May 18- Sun, Jun 1.

A Baby Sprinkle for the Blackfords
We will be celebrating the arrival of baby Jack with a sprinkle for Amy on Sat, Jun 7 from 2-4pm in the Solid Rock Lodge. A sprinkle is a second-time baby shower. It will be a time to gather for fellowship and the celebration of new life.  There will be cake, cookies and punch served.  If you would like to bring a dozen cookies to share, we would greatly appreciate it.  In lieu of gifts, we ask that you bring a favorite children’s book, box of diapers, or you can make a contribution to a double stroller for the Blackford boys. Ladies Painting Night
Join us on Fri, May 30 at 7pm at the All Things Art Studio (505 W. Main St, St. Charles). We will be painting a canvas and enjoying snacks, a devotion, and fellowship in a creative environment. Lord of Life Men’s Monday Evening Golf

TLC (The Life Choice) Crisis Pregnancy Center
The Life Choice in Elgin is in need of part time drivers for the 31 foot RV mobile bus.  You do not need to stay with the bus when it is at a location, just drive it to that set location and return it to the TLC center in Elgin at the end of the day.  You do not need a special license.  If interested, please contact Ruth from TLC at (224) 558-2262.

May Mission of the Month
Gilgal Gospel Mission in Chennai India, reaches the remote Hindu villages with the good news of Jesus Christ. Gilgal’s Director, Christobel Russelliah and her late husband, started their mission 40 years ago. Today, Gilgal has a church, a Theological Seminary, a Children’s Home and a school. They have built and continue to nurture 28 churches in the countryside. In 2013, a new children’s home was built and a new library. Elburn Food Pantry Dinner

On Thu, May 29 from 5-7pm Lord of Life Church will provide dinner for those who receive food from the Elburn Food Pantry. We could use your help. Please sign up on the Connection Card if you can help. We need servers, food providers, food transporters and clean-up crew. The main course will be pulled pork sandwiches from Ream’s Meat Market and the rest will be from Lord of Life Church. For more info please contact Chris Christopher at (630) 391-8728.

Feed My Starving Children
This Is a serving event held in Aurora, IL to package meals that will be shipped overseas to those who desperately need nutritional food supplements. Please mark your Connection Card to come and assemble these packages on Tue, May 27 from 8-9:30pm. Stop by the purple Mission Wall for a take-home-reminder-sheet to put on your refrigerator. Heartland Blood Drive
Spring and summer is the time of year that Heartland Blood Center needs blood the most. While regular blood donors go on vacation, the need for blood remains the same or even increases. On Sun, Jun 8 Heartland Blood Center will be holding our quarterly blood drive from 7:30am-Noon in the Fellowship Area. All successful blood donors – as a thank you from Heartland – will receive a $5 Subway gift card and will be entered into a Heartland raffle for an autographed Chicago Blackhawks items, including an autographed Patrick Kane jersey. Baseball Mitts
Wayside Cross Ministries in Aurora is in need of baseball mitts for their 9-12 year old little league program. If you have any extra or used mitts that you could donate to this program, please place them in the box behind the Connect Cart in the lobby. Registration for Vacation Bible School
Set sail on an amazing grace adventure this summer! VBS will be July 21-25, family dinner at 5:15pm, program from 6-8pm each night. Gangway to Galilee VBS will take us on and around the Sea of Galilee with five accounts of Jesus’ ministry there. Register in the lobby or online at www.lolchurch.net/vbs. Early Registration is $25 per household family, $30 after Jun 30, so register early! If you are interested in helping with VBS, please sign up in the lobby or contact Mary Miller. HANG OUT:
Spending time with Jesus and each other Sundays from 6-8pm in the Youth Room. Food. Friends. Growing stronger in Christ. Current 8th graders/incoming freshman are welcome to come join us starting Sun, Jun 8!
