Would you Like to Make a Difference?
Sponsors are needed for kids at Pastor Mesidor’s Orphanage in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Pictures and info can be seen on the Mission Wall. Only 70 cents a day ($250/year) will provide education, food, clothing and loving care for one year. Contact Lois Linder (630) 879-6717 to become a sponsor.

February Mission Connection
LifeSpring Ministries in Aurora, a division of Wayside Cross, is a 6-month residential program for women who are homeless due to addiction, abuse or financial reasons. This safe loving ‘family’ environment can house up to 57 women and children. Through Christian counseling and guidance, skills are learned and people are healed. Monthly Food Drive for Elburn Food Pantry
Each month Lord of Life Church and Preschool partner for a monthly food drive benefiting the Elburn Food Pantry. This month we are collecting canned vegetables and fruit. Due Date: Mon, Mar 3. Quilters of the King
We are finishing three quilts for a family in Washington, IL that lost their father and husband. We need batting or light weight blankets (full size or bigger) to fill the quilts. We meet Thursdays at 9am if you want to join us. We have devotion, snacks and lots of laughs. If you don’t sew, we will teach you. You can also iron or help organize the closet. Iron Sharpens Iron Men’s One Day Equipping Conference
Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” This conference is for men of all ages­—emerging men (age 13) to seasoned men—on Sat, Mar 15 in Beloit, WI. We’ll meet at Lord of Life at 6am and return by 7pm. $44 when paid by Sun, Mar 2. Students (age 13-22) are only $29. Sign up in the lobby. Questions? Bowling for Babies
Team Lord of Life will be bowling to raise funds for The Life Center Pregnancy Services on Sat, Feb 15 from Noon-3pm. Team members are Rick & Robin Mathieu with Malissa & Jeff Straughn. Register for the Women’s Spring Tea

We are pleased to have Nancy Kolb returning to speak on living out our God-Created identity at the annual women’s tea event on Sat, Mar 8, 12:30-3pm. Nancy developed and coordinated women’s ministries for Lord of Life while her husband, Dr. Barry Kolb, served as pastor from 1995-2008. She enjoyed many teas, Prepare Your Hearts events, retreats, slumber parties, conferences, women’s days and Bible studies with us. Nancy and her husband now reside in North Richland Hills, TX. Registration materials are available at the table located in the lobby. Cost for the event is $9 payable at registration. Please register early as seating is limited. You do not need to be invited by a table hostess to attend. Come by yourself or with a guest, we have the perfect spot for you! Table hostesses, scone bakers, food preparation and clean-up helpers are needed for the event. Sign up sheets are available at the registration table.  Questions? Blood Drive
