H.E.L.P.S. Giving Tree
All the names on the Giving Tree were taken. On Thursday, Terina stopped by to pick up the donated gifts for a total of 23 teenagers who will be very blessed by the people at Lord of Life Church. We have been blessed to be a blessing! Thanks for sharing so generously. GOD does amazing things through HIS children. Merry Christmas!

Marklund Christmas Gift Opening
It is a Marklund tradition to open Christmas gifts on Christmas Eve morning. Volunteers are paired up with one or two residents and provide hand over hand assistance to open gifts. 100 volunteers are needed at the Geneva Campus for this activity. Great family/kid friendly fun! Come join the Miller family (Vince, Mary, Julianne & Becca) as they help open Christmas gifts. Please sign up on the Sunday morning connection card to participate.

Quilters of the King Update
Quilters of the King will be starting a new project in January. We will be making quilts for the people downstate that were hit by the tornado. The first family we will be making them for are the boys and wife that lost their husband and father. We could use batting or light weight blankets to fill the quilts. This project we will continue for many months. Paula Price will be delivering them for us. Want to help? Join us. We meet on Thursday morning at 9:00 am. Call Pamela McLane at 630 879 0989 for more information.

Event Update: Lifespring Birthday Party for Jesus
We had a wonderful time with the ladies and the children. Curt opened with the story from scripture of the birth of Jesus. Pamela did finger plays and songs with them. Lois read the “J is for Jesus” to them. We made candy canes with the children and Christmas trees with the ladies. Lunch was wonderful and Pamela made a birthday cake for Jesus and everyone joined in singing Happy Birthday. It truly was a beautiful day of celebration. Praises and Prayer Requests: Pray for each of these lives to be touched by the Christmas story and the Holy Spirit.
