Chris-Myth Busters Children’s Musical TONIGHT @5pm
Come one, come all!  Come kick off the Christmas season with “Chris-Myth Busters,” presented by the LOL Children’s Music and Drama Teams.  This charming musical will be presented TONIGHT at 5:00 PM in the Family Life Center.  Ethan has a new sister, Michelle. Only Michelle’s not a cute little bundle of joy. She’s a pretty big kid…adopted…and a bit of an annoying trivia buff. When Michelle starts busting some myths about Christmas to Ethan’s friends, it causes quite a stir. Ethan, Lily and Abby begin to wonder: Were there more or less than three Wise Men? Was Jesus really born on December 25th? And what about the angels…did they sing or not? What…no innkeeper? After reading the biblical account of the birth of Jesus, Lily and Abby are still confused. Through it all, Michelle learns that even though some facts about the very first Christmas might not be clear, the truth about why Jesus came is everywhere in Scripture.  Please join us as we learn the truth about why Jesus came! Potluck dinner will follow. Please bring a dish to share.

December Mission Connection
H.E.L.P.S. Ministry is our Mission Connection for December. Angelo Valdes founded H.E.L.P.S. Ministry ten years ago in Valley View. H.ope for a dying and unsaved world, E.ncouragement to believe that with God all things are possible, L.ove that has power to transform, P.rayer that give the opportunity to commune with the living God an S.alvation through Jesus Christ alone, which brings eternal life in heaven. H.E.L.P.S. provides a transitional home for men and women who are recovering from drug and/or alcohol relationships. The ministry reaches out to feed and serve the homeless and gives help to young adults who are dealing with life controlling issues. One way Lord of Life is helping this year is to provide 20 gifts for teenagers. The ornaments on the Giving Tree were gobbled up last Sunday. If you’d still like to participate, please contact the church office at 630.513.5325 or email lol@lolchurch.net. We’ll give you another chance to give. Praise the LORD!

Prepare Your Hearts for Christmas Results
Thank you to everyone who helped with Prepare your Heart’s for Christmas. It was a very successful evening with about 85 ladies and young women attending. A special thanks to Christina Durrant for singing for us. She gives so much from her heart. We had so many cookie bakers and the array was beautiful. As we opened our heart’s to the birth of our King we were blessed by this lovely evening of fellowship and fun. “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests”. Luke 2 :14

Quilters of the King Update
Quilters of the King will be starting a new project in January. We will be making quilts for the people downstate that were hit by the tornado. The first family we will be making them for are the boys and wife that lost their husband and father. We could use batting or light weight blankets to fill the quilts. This project we will continue for many months. Paula Price will be delivering them for us. Want to help? Join us. We meet on Thursday morning at 9:00 am. Call Pamela McLane at 630 879 0989 for more information.

Saint Matthew Soup Kitchen
St Matthew Lutheran Church in Chicago will again serve Christmas dinner to their congregation and neighborhood families. Pastor Loza has asked Lord of Life to donate small inexpensive gifts for the children: toys, socks, Tshirts, story books, mittens, etc. Please wrap the gifts and mark them “boy” or “girl.” Place the gifts in the basket at the Mission Wall by Dec 19th. For more information, call Lois Linder 630-879-6717.

Monthly Food Drive for Elburn Food Pantry
Each month Lord of Life Church will partner with Lord of Life Preschool for a monthly food drive for our own Elburn Food Pantry. To encourage the children in the art of giving they are taking one marble out of the “need” jar and place it in the “give” jar to show their act of giving. We’ll do the same with the two jars in front of the Mission Display Board. Our goal each month will be one item per LoL family or about 205 items. This month (November) we are collecting Baby Products-jar food, cereal, diapers, wipes, etc. If every family brings in just one item, our goal will be reached…any additional items will help us exceed the goal! Items are due tomorrow, December 16.
