National Day of Prayer
Come join us for National Day of Prayer, Thu, May 1, any time beginning at 8:30am. A special prayer service will happen at 7pm. Lord, bless our nation.

Join Us for the “Walkers & Talkers Book Club”
Join us for a new book club while exploring local hiking trails at Campton Nature Trails. We will start with the book In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day by Mark Batterson, the same author who wrote The Circle Maker. The book centers around the story of Benaiah in 2 Samuel 23: 20-21. The main premise of the book is that God uses our past experiences to shape us and prepare us for future “God-ordained opportunities.” This book club is open to adults of any age, from young adult to the oldest adult and to those with any level of walking preferences, from the casual stroller to the fast-paced walkers. Come Meet Our Missionary from India
Join us for a special dinner on Tue, May 13 at 5:30pm in the Solid Rock Lodge with our mission partner Anand Thandu from Children of Faith Orphanage, in Vizag, India. It will be a special time to celebrate the work God is doing in India and pray for the salvation of many people in Vizag area. Please RSVP on the Connection Card today.

April Mission Connection
Feed My Starving Children is a Christian organization committed to feeding malnourished and starving children all over the world. Volunteers help assemble and pack nutritionally complete meals that cost 22 cents each. The meals are shipped to 70 different countries worldwide. Monthly Donations to Benefit Elburn Food Pantry
Each month Lord of Life Church and Preschool partner for a monthly food drive benefiting the Elburn Food Pantry. The next two months (April/May) we are collecting personal care products-Toothpaste, soaps, shampoos, feminine care, deodorant, etc.Due Date: Mon, May 20. Mission Possible Shoe Drive
Help show Christ’s love by donating your used shoes. Please tie your shoes together and toss them in the bin located in the lobby now through Sat, May 10.  Lord of Life is partnering with Mission Possible, a Christian-based non-profit in Aurora, IL that provides free medical, vision and dental clinic. This shoe drive will raise the necessary funds to expand their facility while providing shoes for people in Haiti, Honduras and parts of Africa. Start cleaning your closets today! Comfort Dog Ministry
Did you know that Chloe is one of 70+ comfort dogs that have been placed with congregations in nine states? This ministry is growing with the latest dog placed at Concordia University, Wisconsin. This morning, we will celebrate our second anniversary of our own Chloe coming to minister with us here at Lord of Life. We will highlight Chloe’s ministry and the blessings we’ve experienced through comfort dog ministry. Please join Chloe for cake in the Solid Rock Lodge after both services. If you are interested in joining the comfort dog ministry, Chloe is looking for help in the following areas: marketing/fundraising, IT expertise, and correspondence with people who could use a note of encouragement. Men’s Fight Club
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes” (Eph 6:10-11). Fight Club is coming back for another four weeks to complete the full armor of God. If you missed last Sat, you can still pick up the Shield of Faith this Wed, Apr 30 from 6:30-8pm. Then this Sat, May 3 from 7:30-9am, we will take the Helmet of Salvation in the Solid Rock Lodge.

Thrivent Members: Direct Now and Add $20
Thrivent members, select Lord of Life Church the first time you direct Choice Dollars® between Apr 1 and May 31 and our church will receive an extra $20 grant from Thrivent Financial! Through the “Direct Now . . . and add $20!” campaign, Thrivent will give an extra $20 for each member who chooses to direct Choice Dollars to our congregation first.
