April Mission Connection
Feed My Starving Children is a Christian organization committed to feeding malnourished and starving children all over the world. Volunteers help assemble and pack nutritionally complete meals that cost 22 cents each. The meals are shipped to 70 different countries worldwide. A serving event held in Aurora IL to package meals to be shipped overseas to those who desperately need nutritional food supplements. The Life Center Pregnancy Services Dinner

Mission Possible Shoe Drive
Help show Christ’s love by donating your used shoes. Please tie your shoes together and toss them in the bin located in the lobby now through Sat, May 10.  Lord of Life is partnering with Mission Possible, a Christian-based non-profit in Aurora, IL that provides free medical, vision and dental clinic. This shoe drive will raise the necessary funds to expand their facility while providing shoes for people in Haiti, Honduras and parts of Africa. Start cleaning your closets today! Comfort Dog Ministry
Did you know that Chloe is one of 70+ comfort dogs that have been placed with congregations in nine states? This ministry is growing with the latest dog placed at Concordia University, Wisconsin. On Sun, Apr 27, we will celebrate our second anniversary of our own Chloe coming to minister with us here at Lord of Life. We will highlight Chloe’s ministry and the blessings we’ve experienced through comfort dog ministry. Please join Chloe for cake in the Solid Rock Lodge after both services. If you are interested in joining the comfort dog ministry, Chloe is looking for help in the following areas: marketing/fundraising, IT expertise, and correspondence with people who could use a note of encouragement. Monthly Donations to Benefit Elburn Food Pantry
Each month Lord of Life Church and Preschool partner for a monthly food drive benefiting the Elburn Food Pantry. The next two months (April/May) we are collecting personal care products-Toothpaste, soaps, shampoos, feminine care, deodorant, etc. Due Date: Mon, May 20. Thank You For Blessing Christina and Alex
Thank you to all the people who took part in the shower for Christina Durrant, our staff member, and her husband Alex. The turnout was wonderful as over 105 people came to celebrate the coming of their twin girls. What a blessing it is to have such a wonderful family at Lord of Life! Also, thank you to everyone who brought food, helped set up and served in the kitchen.

Men’s Fight Club
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes” (Eph 6:10-11). Fight Club is coming back for another four weeks to complete the full armor of God. We’ll pick it up with the shield of faith on Sat, Apr 26 from 7:30-9am and Wed, Apr 30 from 6:30-8pm in the Solid Rock Lodge.

Thrivent Members: Direct Now and Add $20

Thrivent members, select Lord of Life Church the first time you direct Choice Dollars® between Apr 1 and May 31 and our church will receive an extra $20 grant from Thrivent Financial! Through the “Direct Now . . . and add $20!” campaign, Thrivent will give an extra $20 for each member who chooses to direct Choice Dollars to our congregation first.

Boots and Hooves Thank You
A big thank you to everyone who helped show love to the eight military veterans that Lord of Life hosted in March for a special Boots and Hooves dinner. Boots & Hooves is an equine assisted psychotherapy program held in Maple Park at Promise Equestrian Center.

National Day of Prayer
Come join us for National Day of Prayer, Thu, May 1, any time beginning at 8:30am. A special prayer service will happen at 7pm. Lord, bless our nation.

Children‘s Ministry (age 3-grade 5
Sunday School
Sundays, 10am during worship. Always open to new kids. Check-in is on the main floor near the elevator. Children will be dismissed after children’s message.
There will be NO Sunday School Easter Sun, Apr 20.

Wednesdays, 6:15-8pm. AWANA helps the church and families work together to develop children’s Christian faith so that they follow Jesus Christ. Always open to new kids. Come on out and join us!

Save the Dates for Vacation Bible School
Set sail on an amazing grace adventure this summer! Gangway to Galilee VBS will take us on and around the Sea of Galilee with five accounts of Jesus’ ministry there. Mark your calendar for July 21-25. Stay tuned for more details.

Thank You to Eggstravaganza Volunteers
Thank you to everyone who helped with the Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday. Also, a big thank you to everyone who donated candy. It was a very special time for people of all ages to celebrate the Risen Lord Jesus.
