Please contact the church office at (630) 513-5325 with any questions or concerns for the Call Committee.

Are you hungry?
Do you need the LORD? Are you desperate for Him? Is He everything to you? As Americans we tend to compartmentalize our relationship with God. We like to get what we want, when we want it, and treat Almighty God like a side dish. Let’s be honest. Let’s confess. We worship idols, even in the church. We put ourselves, our comfort and our preferences, in front of God and His desires. We need to return to Him, honoring His rightful place in our hearts and lives, and in His Church. When we deny ourselves…when we fast, pray, and worship, we are setting the table for a feast with Him.  Are you hungry? This is a call for the people of God to come together with empty hands and empty stomachs, to draw close to Jesus, our Lord of Life, to experience Him, to believe that we do not live on bread alone but on the very Word of God (Deut 8:3; Matt 4:4), to taste and see that the LORD is good (Psalm 34:8). It is a call to sacrifice, to realize our desperate need, to seek the LORD, and to receive His grace and mercy. Wednesday, July 17 will be a day of fasting and prayer. We will come together at 6:30pm for worship in the Solid Rock Lodge. Everyone is invited and encouraged to participate. Questions? Contact Brian Zielke at 630.513.5325 x40 or bzielke@lolchurch.net.
