Ministry passion: I’ve taken on new responsibilities in my present
position. I’m now part of a team working with education at Lord of Life
Church. This group will challenge me and push me in an area I’ve had an
interest for a long time but never really pursued. I think the
opportunity is great. Ephesians 5:15-16 says to “Be very careful, then,
how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every
opportunity, because the days are evil.” I see this as a great
opportunity and one that will allow me to grow in my relationship with
Jesus but also with those who I work, plan, and play as well. It will
also help me point people to Jesus and run away from evil.
Why am I at Lord of Life: I’m at Lord of Life because it is my home. The
people here are family. Not just “like” family, but they are my family.
I’m blessed to have my immediate family also part of my church family and
that is a great blessing to me as well. They are my wife, Jan, and
children Emily, who is married to Brian Zielke, Ben and Natalie.

Other information: Want to laugh? Come every Tuesday and Thursday
morning and watch me play basketball at STC East Sports Complex. You’ll
have to get there early. We start at 5:30am. I also have a train show
every first Sunday of the month at my home in the basement. Come on over
(2:00pm) and see the progress I’ve made on my HO layout called INFINITY
(it’s a sideways figure 8). Finally , I’m currently reading three books.
The first is the Bible, the second is Activate by Nelson Searcy and
Kerrick Thomas and the third is Transforming Discipleship by Greg Ogden.
One more thing, really two. I’m involved in two small groups and they’ve
been a stable part of my life. I think the world of these people in my
